In the dairy year
The tablet is the desk you sit at in every season. Spring: Weather and the drilling window. Summer: Irrigation and the milk clock. Autumn: rotation planner and the harvest you can explain. Winter: the Financial Cockpit, the one place the year becomes numbers.
Esc is the glance while paused. The tablet is sit down and run the farm. Same facts. You are never sent to the tablet to finish an Esc job, or the other way around.
The feel
Vanilla FS25 buries the farm in menus. Balance means pause. Field status means digging. The tablet is a full-screen command centre. Open with T (you can change that). Slide to unlock if you want the lock screen. The home grid is the apps you actually have.
Companion apps appear when that mod is loaded. No XML. No load-order puzzle. Take Soil out and the Soil app goes quiet. The tablet does not look broken.
How it works
It behaves like a phone. Lock screen, then a home grid, then the app you tap. A dock along the bottom keeps Dashboard, Weather, App Store, and Settings in reach. When companion mods are loaded you get extra pages of icons. Page dots and the mouse wheel move between them.
There are three kinds of app:
- Core apps run the tablet itself. Always there.
- Farm apps cover the day-to-day farm. Always there.
- Companion apps appear on their own when that mod is in the save. No empty placeholder.
That is 20 apps in the box, and up to 12 more that show when companions are loaded. Add a companion mid-playthrough, restart the session, and the app is there next time you open the tablet.
Apps in the box

| App | What it does |

| App Store | Every installed app, grouped. Companion rows that are not loaded stay dim so you can see what you would unlock. |
| Settings | Position, scale, open key, lock screen, background, sounds, startup app. |
| Updates | The changelog, newest first. |

How you use it
| What you want | How |
|---|---|
| Open or close | T, or Esc to close. Rebind in Settings. |
| Unlock | Slide the knob, or turn the lock screen off. |
| Open an app | Tap its icon. |
| Home | Tap HOME in the top bar. |
| Help inside an app | The small i button, bottom right. |
| Move and resize | Edit mode in Settings. Position and scale save with the savegame. |
Deep Space is the default look. Slate Grey and other backgrounds are there if you want them.
The outs
The tablet mostly reads. It does not rewrite another mod’s farm. Money, soil, milk, and wages still belong to their engines. What you see on the tablet should match the cab and the Esc glance. If it does not, that is a suite bug, not a skin issue.
On a dedicated server the tablet does not run. It is client-only. Hosts still need the companions that write money and sim. Players who want the desk install the tablet on the client.
What you need
Nothing else. The tablet is useful on a vanilla farm. Cores enrich settings and overlays. Companions add apps. Ritter and RealisticWeather deepen weather and animals if you already run them. Neither is required.
How it connects
In the dairy year these sit next to this chapter. None are required.
